Upgrades & addition to hotel by Delta Group for a luxury boutique hotel with
247 rooms + a 48 storey, 146 meter tower with 155 condominiums residences are
offered in 17 floor plans ranging in size from 630 sf - 7100 sf PH. & 60,000
s/f of office space.
Bruce Langereis, president of Delta Lands Development Ltd said the $275-million
renovation will make it "the hotel of the city" once again.
Delta is a subsidiary of the Singapore-based Delta Group, is developing the property
with partner Goodman Real Estate Inc. of Seattle, a private company.
A revised proposal has been submitted to city hall for 699 Howe (The Hotel Georgia
parking site where the Bing Thom tower was proposed) consisting of 1 floor retail,
3 floors of hotel uses, 8 floors of office, and 36 floors of residential with
156 units (TBC) designed by Endall Elliot Associates.
The Hotel was officially closed Jan 2, 2007. The renovated hotel should be ready
to open for the Olympic Games, the tower site next to the hotel is small and is
a difficult one to develop. And that portion of the project is estimated to be
completed in late 2011. Pricing & Disclosure statement should be available
in Aug 2007.
